All those bits and pieces that our awesome customers drop off are truly recycled by our colleagues at Matter3D, ground back up into raw PLA and re-extruded. The color is whatever you get as pigment can't economically be removed. Often it's black/blue/purplish... but superb if your painting it or don't care.
BEWARE claims of any "recycled" material that has a pristine color without painting. Often that is just the ends and bits on the floor after a run i.e. never actually used by makers just run back through the extrusion process...
