Bambu TPU 90A • Soft Flexible Filament

Need soft, tough prints that bend and bounce back? Bambu TPU 90A is Bambu’s soft flexible filament for cushioning, grips, and parts that take repeated flex without cracking.

It is firmer than Bambu TPU 85A, so you get more structure while staying elastic. Good for shoe soles, RC tires, padding, and protective gear. Includes a high-temperature reusable spool. Dry it before you print, and read Bambu’s TPU wiki guide first. Soft TPU is picky about feeding and speed.

Compatibility (official store)

• Printers: H2S, H2D/H2C (right inlet), X Series, P Series, and A Series
• Nozzles: 0.4 / 0.6 / 0.8 mm recommended. Not for 0.2 mm or High Flow nozzles
• Build plates: Smooth PEI or Textured PEI. Glue optional (TDS lists liquid glue / glue stick if adhesion is weak; many soft TPU prints stick without it)
• AMS / AMS lite / AMS 2 Pro: not compatible
• AMS HT: compatible as a sealed / dry chamber only. Do not use normal AMS auto-feed. Use the dedicated TPU outlet and follow the wiki
• PLA/PETG multi-material: H2D / H2C with TPU 90A only (not H2S, X, P, or A)

What’s in each spool

• 1.75 mm Bambu TPU 90A, 1 kg net
• High-temperature reusable ABS spool (about 200 mm × 67 mm, spool rated to 90°C per TDS)
• Colours: White, Black, Cocoa Brown, Quicksilver, Grape Jelly, Crystal Blue, Frozen, Blaze

Frozen and Blaze are single-pass soft gradients. The colour shift appears only once per 1 kg spool (official store note).

Recommended settings (official TDS + store tips)

• Nozzle: 200–250°C (specimen / wiki often use about 225°C)
• Bed: 30–35°C
• Cooling fan: on
• Speed: keep default volumetric limits. Do not raise max volumetric speed. Store/wiki stress slow, careful printing
• Dry before printing: oven 70°C for 8 h, or printer heat bed 90°C for 16 h (TDS). AMS HT drying times are on the wiki
• Turn off Flow Dynamics Calibration so Bambu’s fine-tuned TPU profile can run
• Store sealed under about 20% RH with desiccant

Unload tip (X/P): do not use normal Unload. Heat nozzle to about 250°C, retract, and pull the filament by hand (official store). Soft TPU can jam if cut residue is left in the extruder.

What this is not
