Bambu Lab PLA CMYK Lithophane Bundle • Full-Colour Photo Prints

Turn your favourite photos into glowing colour artwork. The Bambu Lab PLA CMYK Lithophane Bundle is four PLA Basic spools picked for full-colour lithophanes: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and White.

With a Bambu Lab printer and AMS, you load the four colours, print a special layered model, and shine a light behind it. The colours and thickness changes reveal the picture. It also works great as everyday PLA when you are not making lithophanes.

What is a colour lithophane?

A lithophane is a 3D print that shows an image when light shines through it. With CMYK PLA, your printer stacks Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and White in thin layers so the finished piece can look like a backlit photo or stained-glass style art.

Colour can look a little different from the screen photo. That is normal with layered filament prints.

How the AMS workflow works

1. Make your lithophane files (Bambu points people to Lithophane Maker to turn a photo into printable files).
2. Open the project in Bambu Studio and set Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and White to match the AMS.
3. Load the four spools into AMS. Keep the AMS slot order matched to Studio, or colours can print wrong.
4. Slice, print, then light the finished piece from behind.

Bambu Lab PLA Basic also carries RFID, so AMS can read filament info on supported setups.

Recommended setup (from Bambu)

• Bambu Lab printer with AMS
• Nozzle: 0.2 mm recommended (0.4 mm also supported)
• Layer height for lithophanes: about 0.08–0.12 mm (finer detail)
• First layer height: 0.15 mm (wiki guidance)
• Build plate options Bambu lists: Cool Plate SuperTack, Smooth PEI, Textured PEI, Dual-Texture PEI
• Heated bed about 45–50°C to help reduce warping on these prints
