This technology adopts a printhead-surrounding short-wave infrared thermal radiation device, targeting PEEK and other crystallizable high-performance filaments to achieve annealing upon extrusion and online synchronous reinforcement.

With strong penetration capability, the specific short-wave infrared uniformly heats the interior of the material, enabling the rapidly cooled PEEK molecular chains to gain sufficient kinetic energy.

This drives their rearrangement from disordered entanglement to an ordered crystalline state, significantly increasing crystallinity, relieving internal stresses, and enhancing interlayer bonding strength.

As a result, the 3D printed parts achieve comprehensive improvements in strength, toughness, and stability, truly realizing one-step molding of high-performance components:

  1. Short-wave (near-infrared) radiation penetrates more deeply than medium- and long-wave infrared radiation and can heat the interiors of materials.
  2. PEEK and similar materials are crystallizable polymers. 3D-printed parts typically exhibit low crystallinity and low strength, whereas annealing can significantly improve their performance.
  3. Infrared heating around the print nozzle achieves in-situ instantaneous annealing, which is more efficient and synchronized than post-process oven annealing.
  4. Heating enables the rearrangement of PEEK molecular chains and more complete crystallization, resulting in stronger parts with better interlayer bonding.

Variable Heated Chamber

Utilizing a unique design of the print platform, the chamber is divided into two completely isolated upper and lower chambers, subverting the full-chamber heating mode of traditional high-temperature equipment.

During printing, only the upper working chamber requires precise temperature-controlled heating, eliminating the need to preheat the entire chamber. This greatly shortens heating time and significantly reduces power consumption, with an expected 80% reduction in preheating time and 70% saving in power consumption.

During printing, the platform automatically descends as the part forms, enabling dynamic, adaptive expansion of the upper chamber. This innovative “space for time” design meets the stringent molding requirements of high-temperature materials such as PEEK, while achieving efficient preheating and low-carbon energy saving, comprehensively improving the efficiency and economic performance of high-end high-temperature 3D printing.
