RepRapper Tech Gradient PLA

Want a two-tone print without swapping spools? RepRapper Tech Gradient PLA blends two colours along the spool so your part shifts colour as it builds. Pearlescent surface. Easy PLA-range prints on most FDM machines.

What's Included

• 1 × 1 kg (2.2 lb) spool of RepRapper Tech Gradient PLA, 1.75 mm
• Dried spool, vacuum-packed with desiccant (manufacturer pack)

Print Settings

• Nozzle: about 180–220°C (RepRapper dual-color PLA brand band; start near the middle and tune)
• Bed: about 40–60°C (brand PLA starting band)
• Speed: about 40–100 mm/s as a starting band, then tune for your printer
• Fan: on, like regular PLA
• Dry if the spool sat open: PLA prints worse when damp

Material

• Dual-color Gradient PLA: two colours transition along the spool for a gradual two-tone print
• Pearlescent surface finish that shows the blend without extra polishing
• 1.75 mm diameter; manufacturer accuracy about ±0.03 mm on brand dual-color listing graphics
• 1 kg net spool, dried and vacuum-packed with desiccant
• Prints like everyday PLA with solid bed hold on most FDM machines
• Mechanically wound and checked to help cut tangles and feed snags

Good To Know

• Colour shifts as filament feeds. Tall prints and vertical surfaces show the dual-color transition best
• The pearlescent look comes from the dual-color blend along the spool. Orient the model so the transition lands where you want it
• Keep the spool sealed with desiccant when you are done
• This finish is for looks. Use it when you want showy gifts, decor, and display pieces more than heavy outdoor wear
