Matter3D's Performance PETg brings engineering-grade properties to your desktop without the headaches of ABS or Nylon. This 100% pure resin filament in transparent blue delivers serious chemical resistance and durability while staying remarkably easy to print. Low odor makes it perfect for indoor workshops, and its moisture resistance means less prep work before you start. The amorphous structure ensures minimal shrinkage, so your prints come out dimensionally accurate every time. Processing temperatures range from 230-260°C, giving you flexibility to dial in your settings. Each spool comes vacuum-sealed with desiccant for freshness and is compatible with practically any desktop 3D printer accepting 1.75mm filament. Proudly compounded and manufactured in Canada for consistent quality you can count on.
Benefits of PETG
- Superior Chemical Resistance: Better resistance when compared to ABS.
- Low Odour: Very low odour while printing, ideal for indoor environments.
- Low Shrinkage: Amorphous structure gives it a low, near isotropic shrinkage.
- Moisture Resistance: Low moisture absorption, 3x lower than ABS.
- Versatile Processing: Wide range of processing temperatures between 230-260°C.
- High Ductility: Superior ductility vs. ABS.
Chemical Resistance
Unstressed tensile bars molded of PETG exhibit good resistance to dilute aqueous solutions of mineral acids, bases, salts, and soaps, as well as aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, and a variety of oils. Halogenated hydrocarbons, short chain length ketones, and aromatic hydrocarbons still dissolve or swell the plastic.
