Matter3D Performance Nylon is a premium unfilled PA6/66 filament engineered for applications where toughness, impact resistance, wear resistance, and long-term durability matter.
Manufactured in Victoria, British Columbia, Matter3D’s PA6/66 formulation uses a nucleated resin system designed to improve dimensional stability and reduce shrinkage compared with conventional nylon. The result is a high-performance material well suited to functional prototypes, mechanical components, moving assemblies, jigs, fixtures, and end-use parts.
Unlike carbon-fibre-filled nylon, the unfilled formulation retains greater flexibility and impact toughness, making it particularly well suited to gears, bushings, pulleys, snap-fits, living hinges, and other components that experience repeated movement or impact.

Drying & Printing
Nylon is highly hygroscopic and will readily absorb moisture from the air. Drying before printing is strongly recommended for optimal surface finish, layer adhesion and mechanical performance.
Matter3D recommends drying at 70°C for 6–8 hours before printing.
For best results, print in an enclosed machine and use a nylon-compatible build surface or adhesive such as PA glue, Garolite (G10/FR4), or Magigoo PA.
Unfilled Nylon vs. Carbon Fibre Nylon
Choose Performance Nylon Unfilled when toughness, impact resistance, fatigue resistance and some flexibility are the priority.
For applications requiring significantly greater stiffness, dimensional stability or higher temperature capability, consider Matter3D Performance Nylon High Temperature Carbon Fibre instead.

Returns & Refunds
- Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase for unopened items and within 14 days for opened items in new condition.
- To qualify for a return, items must be in original packaging with all accessories and proof of purchase.
- Please note that opened consumables like filament and resin, as well as modified items or final sale products, are not eligible for return.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all non-defective returns to cover processing and inspection.
- If you receive a defective or damaged product, please contact us within 7 days of receipt and include photos of the issue.
