Matter3D Performance ABS

Need tough, heat-holding ABS that still prints cleaner than old hobby ABS? Matter3D Performance ABS is Canadian-made engineering ABS for brackets, housings, and end-use parts that need impact strength and heat hold.

What's Included

• 1 × Matter3D Performance ABS spool in the colour you pick (1 kg)
• 1.75 mm filament
• Vacuum-sealed with desiccant; compounded and extruded in Victoria, BC

Print Settings

• Nozzle: about 250-285°C (many jobs land near 260-280°C)
• Bed: about 110°C
• Fan: about 0-20%
• Speed: up to about 100 mm/s; keep detail work slower
• Dry before printing: about 3-4 hours below 65°C (hotter can soften spool glue)
• Enclosure: helpful for larger parts; small parts can often run without one
• Bed prep: hairspray, glue stick, or Kapton-style surface

Material

• Performance ABS (matte, low-warp grade)
• 1.75 mm diameter; manufacturer tolerance about ±0.05 mm
• Higher impact and heat hold than PLA or PETG for functional housings
• Low odor / low VOC relative to older ABS; still use ventilation
• Not annealable (Matter3D notes lower crystallinity on this grade)
• Made in Canada

Good To Know

• ABS is moisture sensitive. Dry the spool if it sat open
• Treat printed parts as non-food-contact. Printed ABS is porous and hard to sanitize
• Spools are 1.75 mm / 1 kg
• Use an enclosure and steady bed heat for big flat parts to cut warp
