Need tougher everyday parts than PLA without jumping to ABS headaches? Matter3D Performance PETg is Canadian-made PETG for functional prints that stay dimensionally steady and print with a wide temperature window.
What's Included
- 1 × Matter3D Performance PETg spool in the colour and size you pick (1 kg or 3 kg where listed)
- 1.75 mm filament, vacuum-sealed with desiccant
- Compounded and extruded in Victoria, BC
Print Settings
- Nozzle: about 235-260°C (start near 245°C and tune)
- Bed: about 75-90°C
- Fan: about 30-50% (lower for stronger parts, a bit higher for cleaner walls)
- Speed: about 50-100 mm/s
- Retraction: about 0.6-1.2 mm at 25-40 mm/s (tune to your machine)
- Dry if the spool sat open: about 65°C for 4-6 hours
Material
- Performance PETg / PETG (Matter3D compounds from premium US-made PETg resin; Eastman Eastar family on current mfr docs)
- 1.75 mm diameter; manufacturer tolerance about ±0.05 mm
- Made in Canada in Victoria, BC
- Tougher and more chemically steady than PLA for many shop and outdoor housings
- Low odor versus ABS; low warp for larger footprints when the bed is hot enough
- Strong stick on PEI - use glue stick or a release layer so you do not rip the plate
Good To Know
- PETG strings more than PLA if wet or too hot. Dry the spool and dial temp down in small steps
- It grips build plates hard. Protect smooth PEI with glue stick when needed
- Open or enclosed printers both work; keep cooling modest for stronger layer bond
- Carbon Fiber PETg is a separate product page - this listing is the unfilled Performance PETg colours
- Local Canadian brand: Matter3D compounds and extrudes in Victoria, BC
Good For
- Functional prototypes, jigs, and fixtures
- Housings and brackets that need more toughness than PLA
- Parts that see cleaners, coolants, or light outdoor weather
- Larger prints that need low warp and steady dimensions
