Need engineering polycarbonate that balances strength, toughness, heat resistance, and print quality? PolyMax PC is an engineering PC filament built for demanding parts, and it prints at relatively lower temperatures than many PC filaments.
What's Included
- 1 × spool of PolyMax PC, 1.75 mm, in the colour and spool size you select
- Sealed packaging to help protect this moisture-sensitive filament
Print Settings
- Nozzle: about 250–270°C (start near the middle of the band and tune)
- Bed: about 90–105°C
- Speed: about 30–50 mm/s
- Cooling fan: OFF
- First layer: print thicker and a little further from the bed (about 0.15–0.2 mm)
- Surface adhesion: brim or raft; BuildTak or similar PC-friendly surface recommended
- Dry before printing: about 75°C for 6 hours
- Enclosure recommended; heated chamber preferred for large parts
- Anneal after printing when you want to release residual stress: about 90°C for 2 hours

Printer Notes
- Use an enclosure for steadier results; a heated chamber helps on large parts
- PC is moisture sensitive. Dry the spool and keep it sealed between jobs
- Print in a well-ventilated area
- Clean the nozzle when changing materials to avoid partial clogs
Good To Know
- Store sealed with desiccant. Open air and humidity hurt printability and mechanical properties
- Dry the spool if you see stringing, bubbling, weak layers, or rough extrusion
- Annealing right after the print helps release residual internal stress and preserve mechanical properties
- Parts can be sanded for a smoother finish
