Wet filament makes bad prints. The PrintDry Filament Dryer PRO4 pulls the water out of your filament, so you get clean, strong prints again. You can even print straight from the dryer.

Why Dry Your Filament?

Most filament soaks up water from the air. Nylon, PETG and TPU soak it up fast. Wet filament can cause:

• Stringing and blobs
• Popping and hissing at the nozzle
• Bubbles and a rough surface
• Weak layers that crack or snap
• Uneven flow and failed prints

Drying fixes this. You waste less filament, lose less time to failed prints, and can often bring damp spools back to good use.

How It Works

Pick a heat setting, set the timer and close the lid. Warm air moves through the chamber and carries the water away. The screen shows the humidity, so you can watch it drop. In PrintDry tests, it went from over 60% to under 15% in less than 5 minutes.

PrintDry suggested settings for a 500 g spool:

• PLA: 55°C, 3 hours or more
• PETG and ABS: 65°C, 3 hours or more
• ASA and HIPS: 65°C, 4 hours or more
• TPU: 55°C, 4 hours or more
• PP: 55°C, 6 hours or more
• PC and PEEK: 75°C, 6 hours or more
• PVA: 45°C, 10 hours or more
• Nylon: 75°C, 12 hours or more
• Desiccant packs: 65°C, 3 hours or more

Times change with the brand of filament and how wet it is.

Good to Know

• Heat is not even inside the dryer. It is warmest near the hot air vent and cooler farther away.
• The screen shows the heat at the sensor, close to the vent.
