Prusament PLA Galaxy

Want PLA that sparkles under light and still prints easy? Prusament PLA Galaxy is Prusa Research in-house filament with glittery Galaxy colours, tight diameter control, and colours you can check spool-by-spool on prusament.com.

What's Included

• 1 × 1 kg (2.2 lb) spool of Prusament PLA Galaxy in the colour you pick, 1.75 mm
• Manufactured and tested by Prusa Research (Prusament)
• Spool parameters available to inspect at prusament.com

Print Settings

• Nozzle: about 210 ± 10°C (Prusament.com PLA band; many Prusa Help profiles use 215°C first layer, then 210°C)
• Bed: about 40-60°C (Prusament.com; 60°C is a common Prusa Help target on PEI)
• Fan: high cooling after the first layers (Prusament lists about 100% part cooling for PLA)
• Speed: start with your PrusaSlicer Prusament PLA profile, then tune
• Dry if the spool sat open: PLA prints cleaner when kept dry

Material

• Prusament PLA in Galaxy glitter colours (Silver, Black, Purple, Green)
• 1.75 mm diameter with Prusament manufacturing tolerance about ±0.02 mm
• 1 kg net filament on spool
• Easy PLA printability with low warp on most open-frame FDM printers
• Galaxy glitter shows best on outer walls and larger flat faces

Good To Know

• Galaxy sparkle is in the filament. Lighting and layer height change how strong it looks
• Use the Prusament PLA profile in PrusaSlicer when you can, then fine-tune nozzle and bed
• Store sealed with desiccant between jobs
