RepRapper Tech Fire Retardant PLA

Need PLA parts that help slow a fire and go out when the flame source is gone? RepRapper Tech Fire Retardant PLA is our house-brand specialty PLA with about 10% flame-retardant additive mixed into about 90% PLA. It helps delay combustion and can self-extinguish when you pull it away from a flame.

What's Included

• 1 × 1 kg (2.2 lb) spool of RepRapper Tech Fire Retardant PLA, 1.75 mm
• Dried spool, vacuum-packed in a resealable bag with desiccant

Print Settings

• Nozzle: about 200–230°C (start near the middle of the band and tune; often a little hotter than everyday PLA)
• Bed: about 50–60°C
• Speed: about 50–100 mm/s
• Fan: on for cooler layers once the first layers stick
• Dry and store sealed like other PLA if the spool sat open

• Fire Retardant PLA (about 90% PLA and about 10% flame-retardant additive)

• Helps inhibit or delay combustion versus everyday PLA
• Can self-extinguish when removed from a flame source

Good To Know

• This is still a PLA-family filament: warm bed helps, and you usually do not need a full enclosure like many ABS jobs
• Keep unused filament sealed with desiccant. Damp PLA prints worse and can feel brittle
• If layers feel weak, nudge nozzle temperature up within the band and check first-layer stick before changing other settings
• Test printed parts for your own job and local rules. This listing does not claim a published fire-rating certification
