RepRapper Tech Infused PLA

Want prints that look like wood or metal after a light polish? RepRapper Tech Infused PLA blends real wood fibre or powdered metal fill into PLA so finished parts can look like the real material. Wood, copper, and bronze. Prints in the PLA temperature range on most FDM machines.

What's Included

• 1 × 1 kg (2.2 lb) spool of RepRapper Tech Infused PLA, 1.75 mm
• Dried spool, vacuum-packed with desiccant (manufacturer pack)

Print Settings

• Nozzle: about 190-220°C (on-spool manufacturer labels for wood and copper fills; start near the middle of the band and tune)
• Bed: about 40-60°C (optional on many PLA beds; blue tape or a clean PEI sheet works well)
• Speed: start like everyday PLA, then slow a little if filled material snags
• Nozzle tip: filled filament is abrasive. A hardened nozzle lasts longer than soft brass on copper and bronze jobs
• Dry if the spool sat open: PLA fills print worse when damp

• PLA blended with wood fibre or finely powdered metal fill for a real-material look
• Live fills: wood, copper, and bronze
• 1.75 mm diameter; 1 kg net spool
• Prints in the PLA range with solid bed hold on most FDM machines
• Light sanding and polish bring out the wood grain or metal sheen

Good To Know

• Metal and wood fills change how light hits the part. Polish the high spots when you want the real-material look to pop
• Filled filament can wear a soft brass nozzle faster. Swap to hardened steel for longer copper and bronze runs
• Keep the spool sealed with desiccant when you are done
• We also stock a dual-colour wood infused PLA as its own product if you want two wood tones on one spool
