RepRapper Tech Nylon Black

Need strong functional parts and living hinges that keep sticking layer to layer? RepRapper Tech Nylon Black is our house-brand nylon (PA) filament for tough, flexible-when-thin prints. This SKU is black. Dry it well before you print, then keep the spool sealed with desiccant.

What's Included

• 1 × 1 kg (2.2 lb) spool of RepRapper Tech Nylon Black, 1.75 mm
• Dried spool, vacuum-packed in a resealable bag with desiccant

Print Settings

• Nozzle: about 230–260°C (start near the middle of the band and tune)
• Bed: about 80–120°C (CoroPad or PVA-based glue for bed stick)
• Dry before every print: nylon is very moisture sensitive. Dry the spool, then print from a dry box when you can
• Store sealed with desiccant between jobs. Do not leave the spool open on the shelf

Good To Know

• Moisture ruins nylon prints fast (bubbles, weak layers, rough surface). Dry before you print and keep the bag sealed with fresh desiccant
• Adhesion often improves as you move hotter within the nozzle band. Use CoroPad or PVA glue, and add a brim on big footprints
• An enclosed printer helps warping and keeps the print warmer. Vent the room while you print
• This listing is the house-brand nylon black 1 kg line. Specialty carbon-fiber nylon products are sold separately
