xTool MetalFab Laser Welder/ CNC Cutter

A metal shop in one system. The xTool MetalFab is a 1200W or 800W fiber laser welder that also cuts and cleans. Add the CNC cutter to turn it into a smart metal cutting table for signs, brackets and parts.

What It Can Make

• Welds (1200W): up to 5 mm stainless steel, carbon steel, galvanized steel and titanium, and 4 mm aluminum and brass.
• Welds (800W): up to 4 mm steel, and 3 mm aluminum and brass. Both weld metal as thin as 0.2 mm.
• Cuts with the CNC cutter (1200W, burr-free): up to 10 mm carbon or galvanized steel, 5 mm stainless steel or titanium, 4 mm aluminum and 3 mm brass.
• Cuts with the CNC cutter (800W, burr-free): up to 8 mm carbon or galvanized steel, 4 mm stainless steel, and 2 mm brass or aluminum.
• Cleans: post-weld cleaning up to 10 mm wide. Rust and paint cleaning up to 45 mm needs the MaxClean accessory.
• Engraves (CNC cutter): stainless steel, galvanized steel, titanium and coated metals. Avoid shiny metals like copper.

Speed, Power and Work Area

• Cutter area: 610 x 610 mm, with a pass-through for longer sheets.
• Cutter speed: up to 400 mm/s, with motion accuracy of ±0.1 mm.
• Smart nesting: a 16MP wide camera sees the whole bed and fits parts tight, using up to 98.7% of a sheet.
• Welder power: 200 to 240 V. The 1200W needs a 21 A circuit. The 800W needs 15 A.
• Gas: nitrogen or argon for welding. Air, nitrogen or argon for cutting and cleaning.
• Cooling: air-cooled.

Safety and Smoke

• The welder and cutter are Class 4 lasers. Read the safety instructions and follow every step.
• Wear laser welding eye and face protection, and keep others away while you work.
• The CNC cutter has 10 safety features and comes with an exhaust fan and smoke pipe. For filtered air, the 1200W All-in-one Bundle adds the SafetyPro AP2 Max Air Purifier.

Software

• The welder has an 8-inch touchscreen with 108+ built-in settings, so you can start welding in minutes.
• The CNC cutter runs on xTool Creative Space with 100+ ready settings for 30+ materials.
