To extend the build plate's life, use a sharp scraper to release the model from the printing surface. After the plate cools, gently slide the scraper under one corner of the model, then carefully bend the sheet to remove it.

How to print your Scraper grip?

Bambu Lab 3D printer comes with scraper models. Print 'Scraper grip' from the built-in files! Here is the STL Model

Open the grip in Bambu Studio and pick one of the ready profiles:

  • Designer profile: about 1.7 hours.
  • Strong and quick: 0.2 mm layers, 6 walls, 25% infill, about 41 minutes.
  • No logo: 0.2 mm layers, 2 walls, 15% infill, about 1.3 hours.

For a grip that lasts, the 6 wall profile is the one Bambu calls "efficient and strong".

Best material: PETG, for a tough grip that lasts. PLA works fine too.

Use it safely

  • Let the plate cool first.
